NextGen Rochester Members and Guests are invited to attend an informational tour of the House of Mercy at 6pm on Thursday, May 16th.

About House of Mercy:
The House of Mercy and our founder, Sister Grace Miller, are dedicated to serving and advocating for Rochester, NY’s homeless citizens.

Food, shelter, clothing, advocacy — operating 24/7, the House of Mercy never closes its doors on people in need.

We strive to be a beacon of hope for the poorest of the poor, and we never give up on the thousands of people we serve each month.
The mission of House of Mercy is to provide a safe shelter and a variety of services to those without the means of taking care of themselves or their families. We recognize that poverty and homelessness are growing problems, leaving thousands in quiet desperation on the streets. It has become increasingly difficult to obtain and stay on welfare and even then, welfare is rarely enough to provide for families and individuals living below the poverty line. Many shelters have limitations on who they accept and what services they provide. Recognizing this, Sister Grace Miller has created a shelter with open doors to anyone and attempts to serve as many needs as possible.
